Days of Poetry and Wine — Ptuj, Eastern Slovenia
August 21 - August 24
Every summer, the town of Ptuj is host to the international event: Days of Poetry and Wine. It’s worth noting that Ptuj is a former Roman settlement and Slovenia’s oldest town. True, you can enjoy a blend of artistic performances and concurrently taste good, local wines. But to top that, you’ll be sipping wine while taking in the charming atmosphere of this small, medieval town.
The festival sees a number of wine tastings, poetry readings, exhibitions, and more. Here’s a fun quote by the wise Greek potet, Homer: “No poem was ever written by a drinker of water.” See you at the festival! 🙂
