5-Course Imperial Dinner at the Russian Dacha — North of Ljubljana, Central Slovenia
September 26, 2020 @ 7:00 pm

This is an event that you certainly CANNOT miss! The Russian dacha, which is a suburban villa situated in Zgornje Gameljne (a settlement just north of Ljubljana), is hosting a unique culinary-theatrical performance on Saturday, September 26 at 7 pm.
The dinner menu will be the same as that which was served during a magnificent banquet held in Ljubljana’s famous Union Hotel on December 2, 1908, on the occasion the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph. Food was served on real porcelain with accompanying silverware that evening, another detail that you’ll get to experience during the Imperial Dinner at the Russian dacha.
Theatre, film, and television actor Jernej Kuntner will play the role of Franc Petrič, the host of that historic banquet and owner of the Russian dacha between 1907 and 1915.
This Imperial Dinner promises to be a delicious, fun, and educational experience. There’ll be a live theatrical performance by the Russian dacha team along with a five-course menu featuring veal shank, Styrian capon with French salad and pickled fruit, and an imperial pudding! While you eat and enjoy the theatrical performance, you’ll get to know about the way of life of the wealthy Slovene middle-class Petrič family.
The price includes: a 5-course menu in the Russian Dacha pavilion with Vöslauer Goldeck sparkling wine and Pilsner Urquell beer, as well as a non-alcoholic drink, and the theatrical performance.
Note: dishes may contain allergens. The menu cannot be changed. Additional drink orders at a surcharge.
You can find more information about the event here (text in Slovene). For reservations, email: [email protected].
