BRDA & VINO Wine and Culinary Festival

The famous BRDA & VINO Wine and Culinary Festival is back after two years on April 23. As usual, it is taking place in Šmartno, a picturesque village nested in the heart of the Brda wine region.

This spring festival, originally known as Brda & Vino, has a long tradition. A few years ago, it was mainly considered as a wine event for wine lovers, but it has evolved in recent years. The festival has grown into one of the largest wine and culinary events in Brda. Simply prepared dishes have been replaced by original and sophisticated cuisine that goes together with top-quality Brda wines.

The location remains the beautifully preserved medieval village of Šmartno, which is in the geographical centre of Brda. More than 25 selected restaurants from Slovenia and over 30 winemakers from Brda will present their offering within the picturesque streets against the beautiful backdrop of the old fort walls. A rich gastronomic offer will be further enriched by providers of boutique products, such as homemade jams, olive oil, lavender products, and other artisanal produce.
