Interactive Dinner with Gravner Wines at KULT316 Restaurant — Ljubljana, Central Slovenia
September 18, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

KULT316 Restaurant in Ljubljana is hosting an interactive dinner featuring excellent wines by Gravner Winery on September 18 at 7 pm.
Gravner Winery is famous for its organic orange wines made from the Rebula grape variety that thrives in the Collio wine region in Friuli Venezia Giulia that lies just over the border from Slovenia’s Goriška Brda wine region. The visionary Slovene winemaker, Joško Gravner, is one of the world’s most recognized Slovenian winemakers, famous for his winemaking and wine ageing methods. As early as the 1990s, Gravner ditched his barrique barrels and steel tanks, along with chemical fertilisers in the vineyards, to return to large barrels, low tech, and organic farming. He also sparked up the tradition of ageing wines in qvevri (clay amphorae) in Italy.
The elegant KULT316 restaurant in the green corner of Ljubljana serves fresh culinary delicacies based on dishes from central Slovenia, as well as typical dishes from other gastronomic regions in the country. Their offer includes locally sourced food, fresh ingredients, and seasonal menus. The trendy architectural design of the restaurant also allows guests to observe the chefs as they go about their cooking.
The five-course dinner, featuring smoked trout ravioli and slow-cooked pork belly, paired with Gravner wines of different vintages is set to be a tremendous culinary experience.
Price: €60 including wine pairing with Gravner Wines.
For reservations: Email [email protected] or phone +386 1235 5260.
KULT316 Restaurant is located within the new KULT316 Center for Culinary and Tourism, which is devoted to giving students from the Biotechnical Educational Centre Ljubljana who are studying hospitality, tourism, food and nutrition the opportunity to acquire practical experiences. It also features a school microbrewery, which is the first school microbrewery to open in Slovenia.
