Taste Radol’ca Month — Radovljica, Northern Slovenia

Ljubljana is not the only place in Slovenia to host a full culinary month in November. The pretty medieval town of Radovljica also celebrates with local dishes that various restaurants, chefs, and food suppliers around town offer to gourmets. Nine restaurants participate during this month, as well as farmers, beekeepers, fruit growers, and other suppliers. Taste Radol’ca culminates in a delicious culinary and musical evening that also coincides with the switching-on of the Christmas lights in the old town centre of Radovljica.
LOCAL MENUS WITH DISHES PREPARED USING TRACEABLE INGREDIENTS
The Month of Taste Radol’ca menus, which are usually three courses, consist of local and traceable ingredients. They usually come in three courses and are set at the same price. At some restaurants and inns, it’s also possible to pay a supplement for additional courses. The Taste Radol’ca chefs have found inspiration in the forest for this year’s Month of Local Cuisine. Each three-course menu features unique ways of using the ingredients freely available in the forest.
The Month of Local Cuisine menus are available from 26th October to 30th November 2019.
The price is €19 per person for a three-course meal.

9 RESTAURANTS IN RADOVLJICA AREA
The restaurants and inns that participate in the Month of Local Cuisine are part of the Taste Radol’ca collaboration. This is a project that unites restaurateurs in the municipality of Radovljica throughout the year with a particular focus on the quality of the food and ingredients. In addition to the Month of Local Cuisine, Taste Radol’ca restaurants and inns also take part in other events in the Radol’ca area. They partner with each other in the promoting and developing of Radovljica’s cuisine.

LOCAL SUPPLIERS AND OPEN DAYS
Farmers, beekeepers, fruit growers and other suppliers play an important role in local cuisine by providing healthy products from their surroundings throughout the year. The various suppliers will present themselves and their products at the closing event. Some of them will also hold open days throughout the month of November. PRIZE GAME: COLLECT STAMPS AND BE IN WITH THE CHANCE OF WINNING CULINARY PRIZES
Visit at least five different Taste Radol’ca restaurants in November, collect a stamp at each one, and be in with a chance of winning culinary prizes. All those who collect at least five stamps will be entered into a draw. In addition, all those who collect at least five stamps will receive two vouchers which can be exchanged for food at the Taste Radol’ca closing event in Linhart Square in Radovljica.
CLOSING EVENT OF THE TASTE RADOL’CA MONTH OF CUISINE
As with last year, this year’s Taste Radol’ca Month of Cuisine will end with a culinary/musical event in Linhart Square, Radovljica, on December 1. All nine restaurants, together with selected suppliers, will prepare a culinary experience alongside the switching-on of the Christmas lights in the old town centre of Radovljica.
